I.O. Aniakor

Managing

A graduate of the University of Benin, Benin City. Mr. Aniakor has been actively engaged in Corporate Legal Practice for over thirty four (34) years now.

He has variously worked with Prof. B.O. Nwabueze’s Chambers; and thereafter, as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser to the Ekulo Group (a Victoria Island, Lagos – based conglomerate with heavy interests in manufacturing, oil and gas, finance, telecommunications and shipping, locally and internationally) prior to his setting up the Law Offices of ONYEBUCHI ANIAKOR & CO.

Mr. Aniakor, a former Special Assistant to the Chairman, Investments & Securities Tribunal, Abuja, Nigeria, has also for over twenty (20) years now been a Senior Advisor (Legal) to Summa Consulting (the Management & Consulting subsidiary of Summa Guaranty & Trust Co. Ltd), Lagos and also an External Consultant (Legal) to Ikeja Hotel PLC, owners of Sheraton Lagos Hotel & Towers, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos and Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers.

C.J. Onu

Senior Associate

A graduate of the University of Benin, Benin City also, Mr. Onu has practiced law for over thirty (30) years now with a bias for Banking, Finance, and Insurance law and practice

He has variously worked with the Nigerian Law Offices of Abuka, Ajegbo & Ilogu; and, thereafter, Ojo, Ilimezekhe & Onu, where he was the Managing Partner prior to his joining the Law offices of ONYEBUCHI ANIAKOR & CO.

Mr. Onu has, since 2010, been licensed to practice law in the State of New York, United States of America and is currently a Counsel with the United States’ Washington D.C. Metro Area based, IAW Group International Chartered

Anire Celey-Okogun (Mrs)

Senior Associate

Mrs. Celey-Okogun, equally, a graduate of the University of Benin, Benin City with over thirty (30) years experience, commenced her Legal practice as an in-house Solicitor with several Mortgage Institutions; and, thereafter, worked with the former Equity Bank Ltd and lately, the former Intercontinental Bank PLC before joining the Law offices of ONYEBUCHI ANIAKOR & CO. Mrs. Celey-Okogun is currently at the head of operations of the Lagos, Nigeria- based Channelle Micro-Finance Bank Ltd as Managing Director/CEO

Njideka Obata-Ibemere (Mrs.):

Senior Associate

A graduate of Imo State University (now Abia State University), Uturu near Okigwe, Mrs. Obata-Ibemere has, equally, been in Corporate Legal practice for over thirty (30) years now.

Mrs. Obata-Ibemere joined the Law offices of ONYEBUCHI ANIAKOR & CO. with a sound record in pro-active hands-on approach to issues; and, which has impacted positively on the Firm’s bias for expeditious response to clients’ demands and deliverables.

Pamela Nonye Unegbu-Amadi (Mrs)

Senior Associate

Mrs Unegbu-Amadi is a year 2002 graduate of the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos and has variously worked with the Law Offices of Jurislaw and Ugochukwu Ezeaba & Co., both Lagos, Nigerian based before joining the Law offices of ONYEBUCHI ANIAKOR & CO.
